Alex Griffiths

Founder and Lead Designer

Alex trained at Falmouth university, studying a fine art degree, before completing a pGCE at Southampton university. For the past 10 years, he has been teaching art and photography, honing his method to foster meaningful connections with the world through what we create.
“Sustainability is the only choice in my practice. I believe we are not owners of our land, but temporary guardians. Our garden spaces are an opportunity to acknowledge that we are part of the world, not apart from it. the spaces i design foster the nurturing of the biodiversity that allows our local ecosystems to thrive. connecting our souls with nature is to create a sanctuary that sustains both the human spirit and the wildlife that shares our Earth.”
“My design methodology is grounded in the ‘Right Plant, Right Place’ principle. i use a combination of native and non-native species to create a rich matrix which can support life whilst also being visually compelling. these choices consider our unknown future climate and the specific conditions presented in each individual client’s garden. this is where our company tag line of ‘designed - naturally’ comes from, as it really should be this simple, honest and nature led.”
