Holdenhurst Project
Griffiths Garden Design's home garden is an evolving experiment in ecological design, just a few short miles from the Dorset coastline. It is the creative heart of our practice, where every decision is guided by biodiversity, organic principles and the belief in right plant, right place.
Inspired by the New Perennialist movement, it weaves a dynamic matrix of grasses, herbaceous perennials and self-seeders that evolve with the seasons. Sustainable, closed-loop practices mean nothing leaves the site as waste: all green material is composted, while urban waste is repurposed as hardcore.
A showcase for thoughtful, sustainable and curated design using reclaimed materials, it is also a place for family, quiet reflection and a deeper connection with nature. It will never be finished, and therein lies the joy of gardening.
We welcome client visits as part of our initial meetings in phase 1.
